Manchester United put RB Leipzig to the sword at Old Trafford to maintain their 100 per cent Champions League record this term. Mason Greenwood scored the opening goal in the first half before substitute Marcus Rashford bagged a brace. Anthony Martial put the icing on the cake with a late penalty which Rashford gifted to him, despite the England international being on course for a hat-trick. Rashford completed his hat-trick in stoppage time with a snap-shot from 12 yards. Express Sport takes a look at how the individual players fared.

DE GEA 8
Very sound night’s work, smart save to deny Nkunku first half and Konate second.
Largely kept Angelino in check but needed a bit of help from Fred and Maguire.
Positionally sound and some aggressive driving runs forward.
Strong, won his aerial battles but continues to tread fine line with his wrestling.
Switched off to allow Nkunku shot first half but looks fast, fit and otherwise sound.
Struggled to get a foothold in the game, booked and hooked on the hour.
Early shot saved, great through ball to Martial, tenacity led to opener.
Takes too many risks in the wrong areas but some powerful carries from deep and assist for opener.
VAN DE BEEK 7
Played as withdrawn striker, showed good touch in tight spaces and plenty of energy.
Right side of marginal offside call but took goal well and put in a decent shift.
Some darting runs but never engineered a clear cut opportunity until late on.
Rashford (for Greenwood, 63)
McTominay (for Matic, 63)
Fernandes (for Van de Beek, 68)
Cavani (for Pogba, 81)
Tuanzebe (for Wan-Bissaka, 81)
